CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- Montgomery County is just a hop, skip and a jump away from Fort Campbell, so many believe it only makes sense to have a veterans nursing home there, including U.S. Rep. John Tanner.Tanner is now urging a House appropriations subcommittee to study why the project is so important to the area.The 140-bed facility is proposed for Tiny Town Road in Clarksville.A $12-million construction grant has been applied for from the Department of Veterans Affairs.
