The two at odds are country star John Rich and aspiring singer Jared Ashley. A voicemail message Rich left for Ashley could heat up the court case that's been simmering for weeks.

Rich has said Ashley is trying to get millions of dollars from him and broke into his house. Ashley has said Rich assaulted and harassed him. Both have filed suit.

A rambling, early-morning voicemail was allegedly left by Rich and Skid Row front man Sebastian Bach on Ashley's phone.

According to a lawsuit filed by Ashley's lawyer, the country superstar punched Ashley in the jaw in March at Rich's club The Spot, leaving permanent injuries. Hours later, Rich allegedly left a message on Ashley's voicemail.

"The gall that you showed tonight, you little son of a b****, to show up in my bar and drink for free ... Maybe you don't understand who you're talking to. I treasure the moment that Jared Ashley walks up to me again. Brother, you broke into my house, and you admitted to it," Rich said.

"I've heard some stories about (how) you f***** with my friend," Bach said, "and you best be careful, 'cause you're going to mess with some people someday and mess with the wrong m***** f******."

The suit alleges Rich's message was to cover up for the assault earlier in the evening.

"Brother, I'm going to knock the s*** out of you. You're lucky it didn't happen tonight. Show up at my joint again and see what happens," Rich said in a voicemail.

Calls to Rich's attorney and publicist were not returned.

A manager at Cafe Coco in Nashville told Channel 4 News that Rich became belligerent there Monday night. The singer was allegedly cussing and threw a beer bottle into the street after a worker told Rich all alcohol had to be thrown away because the bar was closing.

A Metro officer at the restaurant diffused the situation, and Rich left.

Last week, Rich claimed everything is retaliation by Ashley seeking money

"It's $2.9 million demanded of me, OK, to drop misdemeanor charges that are false," Rich said.

An Internet video made public the feud between Rich and "Nashville Star" hopeful Ashley, showing Rich allegedly assaulting Ashley last June at Legends Corner.

Ashley's attorney said Tuesday he met with the district attorney's office to talk about additional criminal charges against Rich. The district attorney's office said it cannot comment unless and until those charges are filed.
