Take each item and make a layer and repeat 3 times! Yummalicious!!Crispy Southern Waffles with Salted Caramel Sauce
Salted Caramel Sauce: 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 water, 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, 3 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter and ½ teaspoon of coarse kosher salt.
Combine sugar and 1/4 cup water in a heavy medium saucepan. Stir over medium-low heat until sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil with stirring until syrup is deep amber color, occasionally brushing down sides with wet pastry brush and swirling pan, aabout 10 minutes. Add heavy whipping cream (mixture will bubble vigorously). Stir over low heat until and caramel bits dissolve. Remove from heat. Stir in unsalted butter and kosher salt.
Waffles:
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 3/4 cups whole milk, 2 large eggs, 6 tablespoons unsalted butter melted slightly. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder and 1/2 tsp salt in a large bowl to blend. Whisk whole milk, 2 large eggs and melted butter in medium bowl to blend. Add milk to dry ingredients in a large bowl and whisk until batter is smooth. Cook in your favorite waffle iron until nice and crispy!! Top with Carmel and lots of whipped cream!Waffled ham and Cheese SandwichesYour favorite Bread, butter, sliced cheese and Ham!
Butter 1 side of 2 slices of bread, put sliced cheese and ham on the unbuttered side, put together sandwich style, place in waffle iron and cook. Kids love it!!
