City's Opera Unveils New Home

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Nashville Opera on Wednesday gave a sneak peek at its new $6 million headquarters located in west Nashville.
Raw Video: Inside Look At New Nashville Opera CenterThe Noah Liff Opera Center is located in the Sylvan Heights area next to the Nashville Ballet's headquarters.The 26,000-square-foot facility features a state-of-the-art opera studio, meeting space and a music education resource center on Redmon Street.
"We are thrilled to have the beautiful Noah Liff Opera Center as Nashville Opera's permanent home, as it will enable our company to reach a new level of performance excellence," said the executive director of the Nashville Opera, Carol Penterman.Construction of the new opera center is in its final stages. The Nashville Opera said they are in the final preparations of moving their headquarters from their current location on Trousdale Drive.The Noah Liff Opera Center will be formally opened to the public through a series of grand opening events April 30 to May 3, 2009.The Nashville Opera continues fundraising efforts to enhance stage productions, feature world-class artists and educate the community.
