NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Droves of girls and boys flocked to an open audition for the upcoming Hannah Montana movie Sunday morning in Nashville.
Video: Thousands Turn Out For 'Hannah Montana' AuditionsThe audition was held to find extras for the teen sensation's upcoming movie, scheduled to begin filming in May in middle Tennessee."We drove here at 2 a.m.," said Katie, a girl audition from Indiana.She said the early morning and long drive would be worth it if she could be in the Hannah Montana movie."She's really nice and I'm a big fan of hers," said Katie. "I've always wanted to be an actress this is my first audition, so I'm really excited."Parents were also excited about the auditions. Jonna Slagle said she jumped at the chance to bring her niece to the audition from Cookeville."It will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience," said Slagle. "Even if she doesn't get casted, this is a great experience for her."All the waiting is for more than the just a shot at fame, however. The girls said they hoped to meet the legendary Hanna Montana during their audition."For one thing, I want to meet her," said Katie. "We just, like, love Hannah Montana."
