NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A judge wants Metro Schools and the parents suing them to work out their issues between themselves.Friday, a federal judge ordered Frances and Jeffrey Spurlock's attorneys to meet behind closed doors with Metro's attorneys to try to reach an out-of-court settlement, according to the Tennesseean newspaper.The Spurlocks are suing, claiming the rezoning plan which took effect this fall essentially re-segregates Nashville's schools.The judge heard 12 days of testimony in the case.
