Paul J. Brenner - District 9

Paul Brenner is a retired mathematics teacher who says he desires to support students in the fulfillment of their full potential.

Brenner taught at Glencliff High School from 1997 through 2007. He was named teacher of the year in 2004 and appeared in the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers for four years.

Brenner also served as manager of the training department at Avco Industries, which is now Vought Aircraft Industries, from 1981-1990. He was also a manager at Youngstown Sheet and Tube and president of the National Management Association. He also appeared on a list of Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.

Brenner received his B.S. in Mathematics from Youngstown State University. He also holds minors in biology and German.

Brenner is also affiliated with the American Society for Training and Development, American Product and Inventory Control Society and the national, Tennessee and Metro Nashville education associations.

Brenner has also been politically endorsed by the Metro Nashville Education Association and the Nashville Neighborhood Defense Fund.
