Science Center To Unveil New Planetarium

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Adventure Science Center is set to open its new $24 million Sudekum Planetarium this weekend.
Video: Science Center To Showcase New PlanetariumTo open up the new planetarium, a 26-minute program called STARS will be narrated by actor Mark Hamill, with the soundtrack performed by The Nashville Symphony.It will be able to project 6.5 million stars on a high-definition, full-dome system and offers technology not offered anywhere else in the country.Doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday with a full day of celebration and special guest speakers scheduled.Admission is $11 to the center and another $6 for tickets to the planetarium show. NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams will feature the planetarium next week. Channel 4's Terry Bulger will also report on this new education tool. Related Link:
