DICKSON, Tenn. -- Storm damage forced a family from its home in Dickson Tuesday night.Winds blew a tree into the home’s roof, and emergency officials said a swing set in the yard helped lessen the damage of the blow.A mother and her young daughter were inside the home at the time and were not hurt. The tree punched a hole in the ceiling allowing the rain to come in, which did some damage to the floors.
Neighbors said a nearby creek rose several inches due to the heavy rain, and residents said several other trees and power lines were down in the area.
