NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Police said man who claimed to be one of the highest-ranking gang leaders in middle Tennessee is in Metro police custody.Officers said they arrested 28-year-old Terrance Crutcher on Tuesday near his girlfriend's house on Fourth Avenue North.Crutcher was picked up on suspicion of parole violation. The alleged violation occurred when Crutcher was arrested on charges -- including cocaine possession within 1,000 feet of a school -- on April 15.He'd been released from prison in July after serving four years of a 10-year prison sentence for a cocaine-related charge.
Crutcher's been charged with almost three-dozen drug and weapon offenses in the last 10 years.Cruthcer told police that he has been associated with gang activity since his mid-teens.
