NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Students at Pearl Cohn's Freshman Academy have new books, thanks to alumni of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.Members of the Alpha Psi chapter at Tennessee State University donated more than 100 books and videos to the school Friday. They also gave students $130 for magazine subscriptions.During their time in college, AKA members at TSU regularly performed community service work at McKissack Professional Development School.McKissack closed at the end of the 2008-09 school year and reopened as the Pearl-Cohn Freshman Academy.The book donation Friday marked 10 years of AKA's service to the school.
