From running to swimming, people in Brentwood beat the heat Tuesday and helped a great cause at the same time.

Wildwood Swim and Tennis Club held its second Swim-a-Thon for Special Olympics.

Last year, the club raised $3,500. This year, it hopes to reach at least $4,000.

Swimmers didn't have to give or pledge a certain amount -- just whatever they felt like.

Members of the 6 and under swim team swam for about 30 minutes.
