Group Pushes To Preserve More Than 300 Acres

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A local group is working to save a piece of land tucked away in west Nashville.The Friends of Warner Park is buying more than 300 acres of land next to Metro's Warner Park.The forest of trees that date back about 300 years is between highways 100 and 70 South, both of which border Warner Park.The land once belonged to the late H.G. Hill Sr., who spent his life preserving the land from developers.The group wants to make it part of Warner Park to save for future generations. So far, the group has raised $6 million, but it needs another $7 million before the end of the year.Related Link: Friends of Warner Park
