Rutherford County's mayor on Wednesday may have put to rest any doubt about the proposed Bible-based theme park.

Channel 4’s news partners at the Murfreesboro Post report that Ernest Burgess spoke in favor of the park at an industrial development meeting Wednesday morning.

The deal the mayor worked out with the developer brings an extra $125 million to the county over the next 30 years. The first proposal had $22 million coming in.

The developers will have to meet certain guidelines or the county won't approve the zoning for the park in the Blackman community.
