An accident at a concrete company landed one worker in a hospital and cost him his leg.

A worker at Jarrett Concrete Products and Supply in Ashland City got his leg stuck in a concrete auger, officials said.

The auger is a machine that stirs concrete.

Firefighters said the man's leg had to be amputated on site.

He was then flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center for further treatment.
