POSTED: 5:05 pm CDT March 8, 2009

(Sports Network) - Jeffrey Taylor registered a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds as the Vanderbilt Commodores logged a decisive 75-58 win against the Arkansas Razorbacks in SEC action at Memorial Gym.

Taylor, who accounted for six assists as well for the Commodores (19-11, 8-8 SEC) as they closed out the regular season with three straight victories, converted 5-of-11 shots from the floor on the afternoon. A.J. Ogilvy also posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards, Brad Tinsley tallied 13 points, Jermaine Beal 11 and Festus Ezeli with 10 points off the bench.

The Razorbacks (14-15, 2-14), losers of two straight and 10 of the last 11 games, were paced by Courtney Fortson with a game-high 18 points, although he shot a miserable 7-of-27 from the floor. Rotnei Clarke added 17 points on a much more efficient 5-of-13 effort from the field, including four three- pointers.

Vanderbilt scored the first points of the day and never looked back, recording a 39-35 lead at the break.

In the second half the Hogs made a mere 6-of-32 shots from the floor, en route to the 17-point road loss.

Vandy, which finished the regular season as the fifth seed in the East Division of the conference, will face Alabama in the first round of the upcoming SEC Tournament on Thursday evening. The Commodores made it through today's action by outscoring the visitors at the charity stripe, 22-10, and overcoming 19 turnovers.

With the loss Arkansas is the sixth seed in the West Division and will contend against the Florida Gators in first-round action this week at the St. Pete Times Forum.
