GAME NOTES: The SEC regular season draws to a close this afternoon for the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Vanderbilt Commodores, as the squads collide at Memorial Gym in Nashville. The Hogs have had a tough time against the rest of the SEC this season, winning only two of their 15 outings and losing all seven road conference bouts to date. On Wednesday night, Arkansas was taken to overtime by Ole Miss and suffered a 98-91 setback, the team's ninth loss in the last 10 games. As for the Commodores, they've played a bit better in league action with a 7-8 record, thanks to back-to-back wins against both South Carolina (96-83) and on the road at nationally-ranked LSU earlier this week, 75-67. In terms of the all-time series between these two programs, Arkansas is ahead with a mark of 15-7 thanks to five straight wins against Vandy. However, the Commodores have had a handle on the meetings in Nashville with six wins in nine attempts over the years.

Rotnei Clarke scored a team-best 19 points, shooting 5-of-12 behind the three- point line, but his efforts fell short of keeping the Razorbacks out of the loss column on Wednesday night. Courtney Fortson registered a double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds before fouling out, followed by Michael Washington with 16 points, Stefan Welsh 14 off the bench on a mere 3-of-14 behind the three-point line, while Michael Sanchez accounted for 11 points and seven rebounds. On a team that is averaging 75.8 ppg this season, Washington leads the unit with his 15.8 ppg on the strength of his 55.6 percent shooting from the floor. Aside from his 17.2 percent beyond the arc and mediocre 60.2 percent at the free-throw line, not to mention just 26 assists in 28 starts, Washington is also playing a big part in the paint with his 9.6 rpg. Fortson and Clarke check in with 14.9 and 12.1 ppg, respectively, the former responsible for a team-best 165 assists and better than five and a half rebounds per game heading into the final game of the season.

As if scoring 28 points in the game against South Carolina last week wasn't enough, A.J. Ogilvy dialed up the offense again for the Commodores as he tallied a career-best 33 points and cleared 10 boards for the squad in the upset win over LSU on the road at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center. Also coming up with a strong effort was Jermaine Beal who tallied 17 points for a team that shot better than 50 percent from the field and suffered just eight turnovers on the night. In conference games, Ogilvy is averaging 15.3 ppg and 6.8 rpg, not to mention logging a team-best 25 blocked shots over the course of those 14 appearances. A 57.1 percent shooter from the field, Ogilvy earns plenty of trips to the free-throw line, but is converting at only 64.4 percent. Beal checks in with 13.7 ppg, followed by Jeffery Taylor and Brad Tinsley with 11.3 and 10.8 ppg, respectively, in conference play this season.

Playing on the road this season has been a chore for the Razorbacks and it doesn't appear to get any easier for the squad as it shoots for the upset against Vandy this afternoon.

Predicted Outcome

Vanderbilt 69, Arkansas 64
