Muncie, IN -- (Sports Network) - Jarrod Jones logged 16 points and seven rebounds and the Ball State Cardinals edged the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles, 59-55, in a BracketBuster matchup at Worthen Arena. Laron Frazier was also productive for BSU (12-13) with 14 points and three steals, while Brandon Lampley added 11 points and five boards to the mix. Daniel Northern had a double-double of 11 points and 13 rebounds to pace Tennessee Tech (11-17), which suffered its seventh straight setback. Both teams shot just 37.5 percent from the floor in the first half, but BSU held a 12-0 advantage in points from behind the arc and that helped it to open a 32-19 lead at the intermission. Tennessee Tech battled back in the second half and made it just a 56-54 game on a bucket by Elijah Muhammad with 19 seconds left. Lampley, though, would make two free throws and Frazier would add another to secure the four-point win for BSU.
