Nashville, TN -- (Sports Network) - Darius Cox deposited 23 points and the Tennessee State Tigers routed the Eastern Illinois Panthers, 83-63, in Ohio Valley Conference play.

Jerrell Houston recorded a double-double with 19 points and 11 rebounds for TSU (12-17, 9-9 OVC), and Gerald Robinson also finished with 19 points.

Romain Martin poured in a game-high 29 points for EIU (12-17, 8-10) and he finished 8-of-12 from beyond the arc.

The Tigers used a 21-3 run in the first half to open a 43-25 lead at the intermission.

In the second half, TSU went 14-of-16 at the foul line and 4-of-8 from downtown, as it cruised to the 20-point triumph.
