With the event a few weeks away, staff members are working on several ideas to protect the environment.

Debate-related programs are scheduled for the students and community to voice their concerns on the politics of the environment.

To cut back on paper, organizers created an electronic press kit and put it in a recyclable bag for the event. The bags come along with handmade seed paper identification tags that can be planted in the ground.

The school is expecting more than 3,000 campaign workers and media for the debate, which will held on Oct. 7.
