But Johnson says he's rarely asked about his team goals and gets tabbed as a selfish player for mentioning his personal goal. Still, he believes he can run for 2,000 yards again and help the Titans make the playoffs.
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with receiver Justin Hunter, their second-round draft selection. The Titans announced the agreement Thursday. The 6-foot-3 Hunter spent three seasons at the University of Tennessee where he caught 106 passes for 1,812 yards and 18 touchdowns.
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - East Tennessee State has added junior-college forward Darius Forrest to its frontcourt. Forrest, who is 6-foot-6 and 190 pounds, averaged 13 points and six rebounds per game for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College last season. East Tennessee State announced Thursday that he had signed with the Buccaneers.
CHICAGO (AP) - Pinch-hitter Julio Borbon had a two-out RBI single in the 14th inning, helping the Chicago Cubs beat the Reds 6-5 Thursday and end Cincinnati's record 12-game winning streak at Wrigley Field. The Cubs hadn't beaten the Reds at Wrigley since last August 9.
